After School
Good News Club
Good News Club is an exciting after-school program that brings the good news of Jesus to boys and girls in public elementary schools.
Clubs meet once a week from October to March, immediately after school, for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. They are held in public schools and take place in gyms, libraries, cafeterias, or other large group spaces.
Each club typically welcomes 25–30 children and is led by a trained team of 5–20 volunteers, depending on the size and needs of the club. All volunteers are thoroughly screened, background-checked, and trained in the proven CEF method. They also sign our statement of faith and agree to teach in alignment with it, as well as adhere to CEF’s child safety policies and procedures.
Good News Clubs are sponsored by CEF of Chester County and are not affiliated with the host school or school district.

For the children who attend, Good News Club becomes a time to gather with friends to learn about Jesus and be encouraged to grow in Him. It includes engaging and Christ-centered songs and games that help them memorize a verse from God’s Word. Through the missionary time they learn of other children around the world who are following Jesus. The interactive Bible story applies God’s Word to what is happening in their lives. Club also includes a review game that helps them remember what was taught, and an invitation to come to Jesus and believe in Him. We want children to have a personal relationship with God - Father, Son, and Spirit.
GNCs are taught by CEF staff and teams of trained volunteers. All paid staff and volunteers comply with CEF's Our Beliefs and Child Abuse Policies, as well as PA State requirements.
Children must have a parent/guardian's permission to attend Good News Club. Contact your school office for a permission form, or contact CEF of Chester County at 610-384-4120, office@cefchester.org, or facebook.com/cefchester.
Camp Good News
CEF offers three great day camps every summer: Camp Good News for those who have finished grades 2-6, and Kiddie Camp, geared to age 4, kindergarten, and first grade. All camps are staffed by volunteers, summer interns, and full-time staff.
All staff comply with CEF's “Our Beliefs” and Child Abuse Policies, as well as PA State requirements.

The purpose of our summer camps matches that of the ministry as a whole - to reach boys and girls with the good news of Jesus, to help them grow in their faith, and establish them in gospel-centered churches. Day camp is an exceptional place for this to happen, with excitement, fun, high energy, team spirit, and sincere, caring leaders and teachers.
